We have rice bowls almost weekly. They are the rice version of pizza or burritos – perfect for dibs and dabs left over in the fridge. Just add some special sauce to pull it all together. You can be creative, though I always seem to find a way to include some crunchy veggies, a hard-boiled egg, kimchi, and Sriracha mayo.

- Rice or a combination of rice and grains
Any combination of toppings including but not limited to:
- Diced carrots
- Edamame
- Hard-boiled egg
- Salmon, leftover chicken, meatballs, tofu, etc…
- Avocado
- Cooked greens, seasoned with oyster sauce
- Dried seaweed, crumbled
- Kimchi
- Sauces of your choice: soy sauce, hoisin, Sriracha mayo, special sauce, etc…
Cook rice or a combination of rice and grains for the base. A wide, shallow bowl works best to maximize the topping-to-rice ratio. Layer on veggies, protein, and seasoning as desired with sauce on top.
Eat immediately while making yummy noises.
