Ever since college I’ve felt the intrinsic need to get my “wing fix” every few weeks… otherwise I start to shake. This recipe is a healthier do-it-yourself option to enjoy delicious chicken wings at home.

Chicken Wings:
- 6 pounds chicken wings
- 6 tablespoons Kosher salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 4+ cups water
Buffalo Sauce:
- 2/3 cup Frank’s Hot Sauce
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- Dash Worcestershire
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Honey BBQ Sauce:
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Frank’s Hot Sauce
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Place chicken wings in a large bowl. Combine salt, sugar and water and pour over chicken wings – add water if needed to completely cover all the chicken. Brine for 30-45 minutes, but no longer.
Drain wings and rinse well. Pat dry on a large paper towel lined cookie sheet.
Preheat the grill to high for 10 minutes. Turn the burners to medium and grill chicken wings, turning as needed until the fat has rendered and they are spotty brown – 20 minutes.
Turn burners up to high and finish wings, turning regularly until they are dark brown and the skin is crispy.
Toss with sauce and serve with Ranch dressing.
